HOW DO I APPLY?
We would love you to apply to Oxford.
You apply through UCAS, in the same
way as you apply to other universities,
but there’s an earlier deadline.
You may also need to take an admissions
test and send in a sample of your written
work. If you’re shortlisted you will be
invited to an interview in Oxford.
This does mean you have to make
more effort than for other universities
but it is worth it.
See ox.ac.uk/apply for details.
My advice to anyone thinking of
applying to Oxford would be to
make sure that it’s something you
genuinely want. Oxford is more than
just a fancy name – it is hard work.
If you do decide, though, that Oxford is
for you, then prepare for an exhilarating
undergraduate experience!

OXFORD IS…
ARE YOU DOING THIS BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO?
Increasing our diversity will bring benefits for all our students, as a wider
range of backgrounds, perspectives and experience will encourage more
open, creative and reflective learning. This will also help prepare our students
for the workplace, increasing their capacity for collaborative thinking and
innovation. We are working to increase our diversity, not just because we have
to, but because we want to.
There are very few places where you can go from having your usual laugh
with friends to a genuine intellectual discussion with such ease and
engagement. It’s a blessing to be surrounded by such a variety of people who bring
all their different backgrounds and viewpoints, but who all have a similar desire
for growth.
