I need to share my profound gratitude to the Jewel-Osco located at 7342 W. Foster in
Chicago. I am the superintendent of a school district located in Harwood Heights and I
want to make sure that we recognize the generosity of one of your stores.

On Tuesday, November 20th of this year, we received a phone call from an employee at the
local Jewel-Osco informing us that they had a surplus of frozen turkeys. We were asked if we #1296
had any families that could use a turkey for Thanksgiving. Many families in my school district
are facing difficult financial hardships and the holiday season doesn't necessarily invoke a Chicago
festive mood. This year, with the help of the principal, Mrs. Julie Borner, and social worker,
Joe Kerke, and the generosity of Jewel-Osco, we provided 35 turkeys to families in our school
district. The looks on the faces of individuals picking up turkeys at our school was beyond
anything we could've imagined. It was an emotional experience for all the people involved in
this beautiful moment.

Please know that these kinds of acts do not go unnoticed. We are forever thankful for Jewel-
Osco assisting our families during this holiday season. Acts of kindness demonstrated by one
of your stores reminds us of all the good in the world.
