Would You Come Clean


                                      Over 99 Cents at Jewel?





         Back at the Customer Service desk,  I explained to her the story of the missing garlic.

         Offering to pay for the extra garlic and return the gift card, she wouldn't have it.
         It was mine to keep. Julie wants her customers happy. Even if the customer caused the screw up.

         This incredible display of customer service was also relayed to the Store Director, Chris.

         I know what you're thinking. This is way too much energy, gas, time and effort to spend over a

         lousy 99 cent head of garlic.


         It was.
         But when someone like Julie treats you so nicely, it's important to come clean and make things
         right.

         So I did.


         My hands still smell like garlic. It was the key ingredient to the beef and mushroom recipe.
         Just like honesty is the key ingredient to a noble life.


         Now I can spend the $5.00 gift card without any guilt and cook up a storm surrounded by all this
         garlic.
