Good People Don’t Go To Heaven
By Bill Davis

I recently read a book by Andy Stanley entitled, "How Good
is Good Enough." Seems many believe there is a ―good‖
God and heaven is a ―good‖ place that is reserved for
―good‖ people. Men and women must do and not do certain
things to earn their place in heaven. Kind of makes you
wonder if you are doing enough good things to counter all
your bad things, doesn't it?

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV): "For it is by grace you have
been saved, through faith—and this is not from your-
selves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no
one can boast."
We may think of ourselves as very good. But when reading
scripture, we realize how far from good we are.
Romans 3:20 (NIV): "Therefore no one will be declared
righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law;
rather, through the law we become conscious of our
sin."
If we will confess our faith in Jesus, as our Lord and Savior
and really believe in our heart that God had raised Him
from the dead; the grace of God will be there to save us.
Romans 10:9 (NIV): "If you declare with your mouth,
'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
