Life in Guanajuato
Guanajuato is a colorful and vibrant University town. With approximately 20,000 students residing throughout the city, MSSG students will meet many young people who have come from all over Mexico and the world to study. The city is bustling with opportunities to learn about and enjoy local culture: dance, concerts, art galleries and gastronomy. The MSSG offers a Cultural Calendar with three or four diverse
activities each month.

MSSG Community
Even before arrival, our students begin a process of social and cultural integration. Each student is assigned a Peer Mentor who talks with them via video conference call and then greets them at the airport upon arrival. We offer a series of orientations that familiarize the students with their neighborhood, CIMAT campus, health & wellness, safety & best choices for living in and moving around the city. Our support community includes: peer mentors, MSSG program psychologist and MD (General practice physician), MSSG administrator and individually assigned academic tutors.
The program offers orientation as well as continuous opportunities for connection with peers and staff members. We believe that cultural immersion experiences and social connections enrich the lives of our students and allow them to thrive academically.
