numerous occasions with family and friends and the generous hosting of luncheons, dinners, parties
and meetings for many, many philanthropic and political causes. Notables, including United States
presidents, senators, governors, congressmen and a plethora of local leaders have come to this
historic home as invited guests. The event at Lazy Lane said to be most fondly remembered by
friends during the Mithoff era: a colorful annual Easter Eggstravaganza, for many years held outside
on the parklike grounds for hundreds and hundreds of children, their parents and grandparents.
Truly, this property, the iconic house at 2930 Lazy Lane Boulevard, set far back behind gated walls
amid lush surroundings, is now and has always been a Houston treasure.
