Tenergy audits and energy diagnosis, aimed at achieving energy efficiency measures within public and private sector
        sustainable energy savings. operated facilities.

The training took place during the period May 8, 2017 to May 12, One of the main components of the training course offered to the
2017, and was facilitated by the Guyana Energy Agency under the GMSA and other participants was capacity building in the area

Guyana was one of the beneficiaries of the aforementioned
programme when phase two of the overall project was rolled
out and implemented. Among its focus, the project is aimed at
prioritising investments in the energy sector while improving the
country’s finances in this regard. It also aims to reduce Guyana’s
        overall Carbon Dioxide Emission levels.

The GMSA heard that these aims would be realised by the
enhancement of Guyana’s local capacity to improve its energy
efficiency levels through the strengthening of institutions
directly and indirectly responsible for guiding and directing
        energy-efficiency programmes, laws, and regulations.
