MIAMI CANCER INSTITUTE NAMES HORACIO ASBUN, M.D., FACS,
CHIEF OF HEPATOBILIARY AND PANCREATIC SURGERY

MIAMI, FL – February 25, 2019 – Surgeon Horacio Asbun, M.D., FACS, has joined Miami
Cancer Institute, the region’s premier cancer treatment and research destination and part of
Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Asbun will serve as Chief of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic

Surgery for Miami Cancer Institute and throughout Baptist Health. He brings to the role more
than 25 years of surgical experience treating cancers and complex diseases of the liver,
pancreas, adrenals, gallbladder and biliary system. Dr. Asbun will combine world-class patient
care with leading-edge research to provide highly effective, personalized treatment options for
