WHY ARE SENIORS ENDING UP UNDER THE BUS?
• I’ll tell you why. It’s because the members of congress we
thought were doing something for us were really doing
something to us.
• Social Security retiree benefits are based on a relationship
between your average wages over a period of time, and the
Social Security wage cap over the same period of time.
• To attain maximum Social Security retirement benefits, ones
annual wages must meet or exceed the annual Social
Security wage cap over the same period of time.
• After the 1983 Social Security reform legislation the Social
Security wage cap was raised 4 times faster than average
wages were going up leaving seniors retiring with less than
50% of maximum benefits at retirement time.
• Is it any wonder today’s seniors are making tough choices
between food, and medication?
