Zoo Inside You
Turtle:
1. Get into your shell by scrunching your shoulders close to your ears. Hold your whole body tight. Close your eyes and hold tight in your shell.
2. Stay in your shell and take three, slow deep breaths.
3. How can you return out of your shell and back to the activity you were completing?
FISH:
Imagine you are a fish swimming around in the ocean. Take a deep breath and hold it as long as you can. Exhale slowly and repeat.
WHALE:
Imagine you are a whale coming to the surface for a big breath of air. Slowly breathe in. Hold your breath as you dive down into the water. When you come up for air breathe all the air slowly out of your whale blow hole trying to make the tallest spray of water.
Caterpillar/Butterfly:
1. Get into your cocoon. Get your body all tight and snug so you fit in your cocoon.
2. Stay in your cocoon and hold your whole body tight. Take three, slow deep breaths.
3. Once you are calm, slowly come out of your cocoon as a beautiful butterfly. Loosen up your whole body and let your wings spread. Flutter around the rest of the day.
OWL:
Imagine you are an owl. Turn your head toward the left and then to the right. Try to roll your head around your shoulders.
SLOTH:
Imagine you are a slow moving sloth. Try to move and breathe as slowly as you can.
Kangaroo:
Imagine you are a kangaroo with a big pouch. Try to breathe out and in making your belly big like a kangaroo.
