DAY 5 Welcome to Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, where quilts
appear everywhere…hung on buildings, over balconies, in windows,
draped over fences—this is the world’s largest outdoor quilt show, like
an old-fashioned country fair. After visiting the area’s best-loved quilt
shops on our shop-hop, relax at our craftsman-style hotel with vaulted
wooden ceilings and stone fireplaces, or explore the Old Mill District,
converted from a giant sawmill to a beautifully landscaped shopping
and dining pavilion. B
The Stitchin’ Post, Sisters, Oregon
books, and handwork. Sample Oregon’s fabled coastline at Cannon
Beach, lined with handcrafts shops and galleries. Stroll the beach to
see fantastically shaped driftwood and fog-shrouded islands populated
by nesting seabirds. The local quilt shop specializes in gorgeous 100%
cotton fabrics, patterns, and notions. B
DAY 4 Enjoy our passage among rolling green hills on our way south
as we venture to the foot of the Cascade Mountains. In the Cascade
Mountain foothills, Sisters’ main street of frontier stores looks like a
cowboy movie set. Before crowds arrive for tomorrow’s quilt show,
indulge in some shopping at the Stitchin’ Post quilt shop. Admire
stunning displays by legendary quilt artists, then enjoy a group dinner
with quilting friends before attending a lecture by a popular quilter. Multnomah Falls, Oregon

Sister Outdoor Quilt Show, DAY 6 Enjoy forests and rich farmlands on the way north toward
Oregon
Mount Hood’s majestic range. We’ll stop in the Fruit Loop at a local
farm stand before arriving at the breathtaking Multnomah Falls. This
evening, swap addresses with new friends at our Farewell Dinner. B D
DAY 7 Visit the fabulous International Rose Test Gardens, America’s
oldest, and wander through four fragrant acres to admire 400-plus
varieties and 10,000 bushes in this Elizabethan-style garden. It’s a fitting
farewell to the City of Roses. B
