DAY 5 Today, we travel over land and water through beautiful scenery
on our way back to the U.S. Crossing into Washington, we’ll have
magnificent views of snow-capped Cascade Mountains on our route
to the harbor village of La Conner, where a Welcome Reception
awaits at our hotel. B D
DAY 6 Enter the inner sanctum of That Patchwork Place
Pike Place Market, Seattle publications, on a private tour of Martingale Press. After visiting offices

DAY 3 Board a high-speed ferry through Puget Sound, past islands
and majestic mountains to Victoria, British Columbia. This charming
Canadian city seems straight out of England, with lampposts, double-
decker buses and stately Victorian buildings. Fifty-acre Butchart Gardens
takes your breath away with its Renaissance parterres, sculptural
topiaries and brilliant flower beds. B
DAY 4 Following breakfast well enjoy a private tour of the Royal B.C.
Museum. Housing over 7 million artifacts, the museum is dedicated
to the cultural and modern history of Canada. The remainder of your
day is at leisure to explore the many shops and boutiques that line
the streets of Victoria or relax over a spot of tea in one of the many
downtown cafes. B

DAY 7 Stroll past flower-filled dooryards to 1891 Gaches Mansion,
home of Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum. Paneled
rooms of authentic furnishings create gallery space for turn-of-the-
century quilts. Enjoy Victorian buildings, outdoor cafes and fishing
boats along La Conner’s waterfront before returning to Seattle for
flights home. B
