Founded in 1958 by Helmuth “Buddy” Eidel and his father in Altamonte Springs Tri-City
Electrical Contractors, Inc. has developed to be the prominent electrical contractor in the
state. While we have grown in size and skill, we s.ll cherish our humble beginnings. We take
pride in our history and are honored that Buddy remains Chairman Emeritus of our Board of
Directors. Tri-City is a dis.nguished member of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)
and plays a major role in the community by sponsoring charitable organiza.ons, implemen.ng
community wide training programs and mentoring subcontractors statewide. As a milestone in
our companies history, Tri-City’s Healthcare Group completed their first healthcare project in
1988 and has since received 38 ABC Excellence in Construc.on awards for healthcare
projects. We are very proud to announce that Tri-City was awarded the ABC Na.onal 2020
Contractor of the Year Award. Our financial stability, with a bonding capacity of $100M single
project and $450 aggregate, has allowed Tri-City to build the some of the largest projects in
Florida
With 61 years in the industry, Tri-City Electrical Contractors, Inc. has been ranked by the ENR
as the 34th largest electrical contractor in the country and is one of Florida’s largest employers
of electrical professionals. Tri-City has played a role in building some of the most recognizable
projects in the state with our special.es being the most complex, highest quality projects that
require only the most skilled team of electrical workers. We will “Do more than expected” in
every aspect of your project and will build it to the same standards used on all of our award-
winning endeavors.
