Some firms offer standard transportation vans that contain the vehicle, LARS, TMS, winch, workspace, and control room (Figure 9.22). Such self-contained systems make the deployment of smaller vehicles quick and efficient, often saving deck space and reducing costs. The Containerized Delivery System (CDS) developed by SeaBotix uses a telescoping LARS to deploy their 13,000 ft (4000 m) capable vehicle and its 650 ft (200 m) excursion tether.
