After retirement from her posts as Deputy Head and English and History teacher in 2001, Susan studied at Winchester School of Ar ts where she gained a degree in Visual Ar t (Hons) and MA
in Fine Ar t by Project. In 2014 she secured a place in The Yard Studios in Matley’s Yard Winchester. She has exhibited in Chawton, Kilquhanity in Galloway, London, Mottisfont, Petersfield, Poole, Southampton, Wells and Winchester. Recently she has developed a series of drawings based
on small fragments of chalk which had fallen to the bottom of the crumbling chalk bank opposite her studio.
