Sarah WILBY
Sandeels Bay, Isle of Iona, 2018
Acrylics on Canvas, 50cm x 40cm, £20
Sarah is the Academic Music Teacher at St Mary’s Calne and has held this position since 2017. She has always enjoyed art as a personal pleasure and recently took up experimenting with oils and acrylics. As a fan of the Scottish artist Jolomo, Sarah enjoys working on landscapes and since a child has visited the Western Islands of Scotland. Here Sarah finds the majestic contrasts of sea, land and sky a continued source of inspiration both in art and music.
“This simple acrylic on canvas tries to capture the sense of space and tranquillity that can be found on the Scottish Island of Iona. Its white sands and azure waters has appealed to artists throughout the ages.”
