Esther began as a graphic designer before studying Art History then trained as an Art teacher. She has taught in schools and colleges for the past 30 years including a very enjoyable 23 year spell at St Mary’s. Currently Esther is retraining and working as an upholsterer, but still exhibits regularly with The Calne Artists, a group she has been part of for many years.
“I have always been interested in traditional ways of painting and drawing and the very abstract way layers of colour can ‘become’ real things. My subjects reflect my life, people, objects and landscapes.”
