2.3 Professional High School Program (12 to 18 years old)
The third stage of development is adolescence. The valorization of personality takes place as the adolescent student prepares to enter adulthood. This means the student, no longer a child, is going through a process of becoming a strong, capable, effective, and worthy person. (M. Brown, 2015). He is filled with creative energy, begins to acquire confidence, and intensely seeks economic independence. This is the period when emotion, no longer intelligence, becomes operational in his preparation for adult responsibility.
Adolescence is characterized by emotional, psychological, and social transformation, when self-consciousness is heightened and requires the performing arts, sports and para-military training activities to transform timidity into self-confidence.
