Morally, the Primary child begins to examine the rightness and wrongness of his actions and those of others. Introducing the child to fundamental rules and regulations is important at this stage so he learns that his actions affect others and have corresponding consequences.
Intermediate Child: In Intermediate, the child is now capable of discerning right from wrong. He is fully conscious of rules and regulations and the corresponding consequences of his actions. He has the capacity to control his emotions and can express negative feelings in positive ways.
High School Child: The High School student is in the stage of adolescence. According to Dr. Maria Montessori this is the period when emotion, no longer intelligence, becomes operational in his preparation for adult responsibility. Driven by an increased sensitivity to all facts and experiences, which relate to his life as a social being, the high school student feels a need to be treated with dignity and respect. Thus, he is trained to be accountable for his actions and its consequences as he readies himself for participation in the adult society.
4.2 Code of Conduct
OBMC employs rules and regulations to govern the conduct of all students as responsible members of the school, regarding personal discipline, relations with peers, adults, and persons in authority, and the respect and care for their environment.
These rules are provided in Section 156 of the 2011 Revised Manual of Regulations for Private Schools in Basic Education (as amended by DepEd Order No. 11, series of 2011), as well as in Section 15 Nos. 2, 3 and 5 of the Education Act of 1982, which states the duties and responsibilities of a student in a private school:
• Obey and observe all laws and prescribed school rules and regulations;
• Respect proper authority, whether governmental or institutional;
