Port of Illahee District No. 6 – Commissioner Position 3 – 6-year term
James Aho Statement: While the Port of Illahee is small compared to major ports like the Port of
(Nonpartisan) Bremerton, even a small port can be a significant asset to its community.
For 10 years I regularly attended the monthly Port meetings, and 6 years ago I ran

Illahee Store that has been vacant for almost 20 years; (2) Port property north of the

leaking underground gas storage tanks at the former store site.
Community Service: I am a member of the Illahee Preserve
Stewardship Committee, and current president of the Illahee Residents often ask if the Port is restricted to community dock concerns. Ports in
Forest Preserve 501.c.3 non-profit working to expand the Washington State can do many good things within their Port District boundary, like the
Preserve and add a wildlife corridor connection with Illahee State Park. I currently cleanup grant. I would like to see them use their allowed authority to do even more.

Port of Indianola District No. 7 – Commissioner District 3 – 6-year term
Gary Walker Statement: I have been a permanent resident of Indianola for the past 6 years. I
(Nonpartisan) have family connections here for the last 40 years. I am fully aware of the importance
of maintaining and improving the Indianola Dock and other Port facilities. I will do my
best to serve the community and take this position very seriously. I have many years

Elected Experience: I would be proud continue serving our
wonderful community with a third term as commisioner for the
Port of Keyport. We have made drastic improvements to the
marina with installation of the new docks. Currenty we are in
process of replacing the damaged boat ramp with a easier to
use and safer ramp. We work hard to make this facility a nice
place for the community to enjoy wether boating, kayaking, fishing or just enjoying the
view. I would appreciate the oppotunity to continue serving our community.
