It was wonderful to showcase Tiglin to Prince Charles on his recent visit to Ireland.
SPREADING THE WORD
We had a busy year trying to spread the word about the great work we do with politicians far and wide from different parties. One of the highlights was an invite for our chairman Aubrey to speak on the impact of Tiglin at the Fianna Fáil Ard Fheis on the topic ‘Towards Safer Communities’. Minister Simon Harris has also recently gone on record by stating that “Tiglin has done for individuals with addiction what he as Minister for Health couldn’t do”. The minister also has stated that he is fully supportive of the life transforming work at Tiglin and is eager to help in any way he can.
A frequent visitor to Tiglin is the Fianna Fáil spokesperson Stephen Donnelly. Stephen has worked with graduates, residents and staff at Tiglin and has continuously voiced his support for the centre.
Senator Ronan Mullen was one of the many politicians to visit Tiglin during 2019. His contribution in the Senate focusing on how Tiglin makes a difference in the Irish Healthcare sector was a vote of confidence to management.

IN THE MEDIA
Throughout the year Tiglin has featured in various TV radio and press publications.
Sean O’Rourke on RTE’s Sean O’Rourke show interviewed Patron of Tiglin Judge Gillian Hussey with two of our graduate students. The response was phenomenal as
Sean O’Rourke followed their life transition from addiction to where they are now.
Another feature on Morning Ireland spoke about how a faith based approach can make all the difference when trying to recover from an addictive life style.
