 Community Employment Programme
It has been a very adventurous year that saw many changes. A wise man once said that “the secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new”. Our focus right now is on building the new: new team, new premises, new goals.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new staff members: Kevin Burke, Cormac Rynne, Jeffery Gibbon and Olena Sytnyk. I would also like to say a big thank you to Karen Douglas
and Pat O’Brien for all their hard work over the years.
There have been so many successes and highlights throughout the year. One of these was ‘An Afternoon of Drama and Music Through the Lens of Recovery’, which was performed in the Whale theatre. The participants rehearsed with Drama Tutor Thomas O’Reilly for 3 months in preparation for the performance. Confidence and self-esteem greatly increased for many of the participants through this process. It was a huge success for all involved.
Twenty-two participants graduated from the Tiglin programme in August. This was an extra special day for participants and their families
www.tiglin.ie
as it was our first face-to-face graduation in two years.
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
In 2022, we saw many guys progress into employment, and others into further education. A big well done to all for these excellent achievements.
I would also like to thank Bray Partnership for
all the training support given to the participants throughout the year, it is greatly appreciated. We give thanks for the year gone by and welcome what’s to come in 2023. We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
