valuable work experience and earn some pocket money working in our pop-up ice cream kiosk.
We were glad to welcome Fad Saoil Saunas (‘Longevity’ as Gaeilge) to the grounds, where they now operate two mobile sauna services beside the café. The saunas have become a huge success and provide a unique experience when combined with a delicious Rise at the Cove
coffee after a sea swim. The space surrounding Rise at the Cove is also used for a variety of community functions, such as youth theatre, swimming lessons and others, that bring the town together. It is our privilege to play a role in this mission.
Carraig Eden
Another busy year at the Tiglin re-entry home in Carraig Eden. Each resident is provided with excellent quality care whilst also residing in an environment that allows them to have safety and security, and to prepare for the next steps in their lives.
Following a couple of challenging years for our students, we have still managed to witness some amazing transformations in the lives of our residents. Throughout the year, we have had various visitors including celebrities, guests and government officials visit Carraig Eden.
Many of the guys have been busy getting involved in local community events, such as the St. Patrick’s Day festivities, the beach clean-up, and Santa’s Parade. It is always so encouraging for the guys to be able to help out at these events and to see how supportive the local
community are in their recovery journey.
We are looking forward to witnessing many more tranformed lives in 2023. With a grateful heart, we wish you and yours a peaceful and joyful Christmas.
