FORM 9A1D
FORM TEACHER: Miss Coghlan.
FORM CAPTAIN : John Hannell (able to bend peels in his bare hands).
FORM VICE-CAPTAIN : Jenny Hodgins (faster than a speeding bullock).
A merry little family are we. here in Cl. ventilated by way of two holes
in the back wall. The furniture is quite new (14th century new). The race who
inhabit this room are far superior to, and more advanced than, any other class.
This is 9A1D.
Comprising this breed of super-humans are nine girls and twenty-one muscle
bound boys. Of the boys of the class, five are cadets and one is a deserter.
Colin Gillespie, all of them being under the leadership of “Tiny” Captain Linsley
(6* 1” of flowing jelly). The men under his command are Colin Warner, Paul
Pradhan (Casanova), Jim Simpson, and drummer boy, Arnold de Ruiter. The
“Jesters” of our class are Mark Ogbourne, Cam Rossiter and Colin Warner.
The intrepid traveller, Philip Dickie, who is disguised as a meek and mild
artist, is really the strongest boy in our class. (Shane Burrows is not far behind.)
The computors of our class are Michael Reed. Janet Hunn, John Hannell, Judy
Schrodter, Trevor Gaw and Judy Roff. The Domestic Girls of our class are
Jenny Hodgins (stronger than Philip Dickie), Lyn Benn (crew cut queen of the
quadrangle), and Gay Spiller (whose brews cure anything, including weeds).
We also have David Evans; turn him on and he talks all day non-stop. Whoops —
we almost forgot our fine-feathered, pigeon-minded professor, Shane Dunne.
Darryl Symons and Darryl Jones have much in common; they both have a name.
John Hannell is our “leader” and is in charge of the behaviour department.
(A never-ending job.) The dramatic stars of our class are Trevor Carter, Kathy
Bailment and Anne Wilson. Susan Blackwood is the greatest tennis player since
Johnny Weismuller. Peter Baker is the long-haired brain of our class; he has
two brains, one’s lost and the other one’s looking for it. Frank (the curly-
headed boy) always eats his crusts. And, last of all. bringing up the rear (as
usual) is Tommy Redfern.
Finally, we would like to thank the teachers (especially Miss McWilliam and
Miss Coghlan) for putting up with us. We would also like to wish all Juniors
and Seniors the best of luck in their exams.
THE BEGINNING.
