What is feedback
• Feedback is the information given to an athlete about the proficiency of their performance. It provides knowledge of performance and knowledge of results. (Leeder 2022)
• Feedback can be positive (perceived to have done something well), negative perceived to have done something poorly), instructive (tells you how), motivational (encourages), corrective (tells you what to change), concurrent (is given during play or practice), and terminal (given after the event ).
Feedback is used to reinforce an action.
