DAVID MATALON, MANAGING DIRECTOR
David Matalon has over 50 years business experience to his credit. Mr. Matalon brings to the management team, a convincing mix of business acumen and creativity. David has always had a creative side to him which attracted him to woodworking and the company has clearly benefited greatly from his creativity with some of the awards that have been offered. He is mainly responsible for conceptualizing client needs and transforming their ideas into reality. He has broad oversight on the manufacturing, production and strategic planning for the company. His vision has led Craft Wicker and Things to maintain its competitiveness. David has attended several international Trophy and Awards Shows geared towards merchandisers and manufacturers. This started with the first Trophy and Awards Show hosted in Houston, Texas, where he was exposed to a number of trophy manufacturers and suppliers and where he has built long term relationships with them over the many years in business. He has been able to keep an eye on current market and industry trends and has consistently introduced his innovations to the market.
JOAN MATALON, DIRECTOR
Joan Matalon has been the calm voice and meticulous brain behind Craft Wicker and Things’ administrative and IT functions. Mrs. Matalon is the Chief Customer Relationship Manager, ensuring that clients are given the gold-standard in customer service. Her management style has helped the company to build a loyal customer-base over the decades. Joan also has broad oversight in order fulfillment and delivery, facilitating timeliness and accuracy for every order. Mrs Matalon is also the individual responsible for operating both engraving machines and also making sure that all work is proofread and spellchecked prior to being engraved.
SUPPORTING STAFF
Joan and David Matalon are supported by a support officer, who assists clients with order pick-up and delivery, while monitoring and reporting on inventory levels.
