The towers inside the inner castle

man, Spanish and British according
to their construction patterns. The

level. The castle hosts Bodrum Un-
derwater Archaeological Museum,
the first and only underwater ar-
chaeological museum in Turkey visit-
ed by thousands of domestic and for-
eign visitors in every year. Founded
in 1964, the museum was organized
with uttermost success in its 14 ex-
hibition halls and earned worldwide
reputation with the unique works of
art exhibited to the visitors. Ulubur-
nu Shipwreck, one of the must-see
exhibits in the museum with its past
going back to 1300 BC carries late
Bronze Age trail of trade. It’s thought that the written work
found in the shipwreck is the world’s oldest booklet.
