Above: The completed Lighter Than Air Section seen on 15th July 1917 looking westwards, with, from the left, the kite balloon hangar, the SS shed, coastal shed and large rigid shed. The 90 ft high wind screens at each end of the rigid shed enabled an airship to be 'walked out' without fear of the craft being blown into the shed and possibly being damaged.
Right: Aerial view of the Lighter Than Air Section taken on the 4th September 1917. The original canvas kite balloon shed had been removed by this time. Both the North and South aerodromes are clearly visible in this view, looking south-west.
