Students will climb Lookout
RUBY FALLS
Mountain in the steepest passenger
railway in the world! Once at the top,
your group will tour both Ruby Falls
and Rock City, and will learn how
Booth Western Art Museum caves are formed, determine the
types of mineral deposits found, be
asked to identify 6 limestone
deposits found in caves and how
they are each formed, and be able to
explain the formation of sedimentary
rock, the formation of mountains,
and the role of water in these
processes. This day trip is an
awesome outdoor laboratory!
