• Choose (1) of these two assignments. Write a 1000 word essay either on the
relationship between children and abusive parents using the characters in the novel, or
on the subject of how foster parenting influences the future of children using the
character of Aunt Charlie as an example. This will be discussed in class. Be prepared to
