If you need more measurement sources, just add more

        modules to the CompactDAQ chassis.

You can now see how the NI instruments offer greater

flexibility than a single spectrum analyser.

        Strain Gauges for measuring vibrations

∝ as the strain guage is

                                                stretched (strained) its electrical

                                                resistance will change.

Use an epoxy resin to attach the

                                                strain gauge to the vibrating

                                                surface.

Make the strain gauge as part of a Wheatstone Bridge.

                                                              Adjust the resistance values

                                                              so that the bridge is

                                                              balanced when the strain

                                                              gauge is at rest.

                                                              Once the strain gauge is

strained a voltage V will generated and can be measured.

The voltage is proportional to the strain.
