5–14. Medication Use and Pharmacy Support
SRP Medical Screening for Medications: All Soldiers will be screened for chronic maintenance
medications as part of the SRP pre-deployment process. SRP medical personnel will ensure
that Soldiers are appropriately screened for high-risk medications (as determined by the SRP
medical officer) that would preclude them from deploying as a result of a disqualifying chronic
medical condition. All medications that the Soldier is currently taking will be entered into the
patient's (Soldier's) Composite Health Care System (CHCS)/AHLTA (DoD's Electronic Health
Record) medication profile to ensure appropriate documentation of drug therapy and to screen
for and prevent potential drug-drug interactions or duplicate drug therapy overlaps.
5–15. Medical Logistics
Medical logistics support will be provided to establish customers of installation medical supply
accounts and will include other governmental agencies as directed.
