Concept of health and disease

                may be  cited, via spiritual, emotional vocational and political


                dimensions.



              1.  Physical dimension:

                       It means the state of  physical health, which implies the motion


                of “perfect functioning” of the body.



                   Signs of physical health:


                      Clean skin.

                      Bright eyes.

                      Lustrous hair with a body well clothed with firm flesh- not too fat.

                      Sweet breath.


                      Good appetite.

                      Sound sleep.

                      Regular activity of bowels and bladder.


                      Easy coordinated bodily movements.

                      All organs of the body are function normally

                      All special senses are intact

                      Pulse rate, blood pressure exercise tolerance are all within the

                        range of “normality” for the individual’s age and sex.




              2.  Mental dimension:

                       Mental health is not mere absence of mental illness. Good mental


                health is the ability to respond to the many varied experiences of life with

                flexibility and a sense of purpose.
