goals and more. This strategic plan is not meant to be a list of every project
that the department will undertake over the next three years. Rather, it’s a
road map that articulated the strategies IT will use to anticipate and meet the
City of Marion emerging technology needs, pending available funding and
mayor / council approval.
This strategic plan outlines the impact technology has on the way we operate
our government and meet the needs of our citizens. This strategic plan could
also be considered a blueprint that will allow the various departments to
strategically prepare for the technology needs of the future.
