Guy continued to record and tour throughout the 1960s and 1970s,
but he did not achieve widespread commercial success until the
1980s. In 1989, he released the album Damn Right I Got the Blues,
which was a critical and commercial success. The album won a
Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album, and it
helped to introduce Guy to a new generation of fans.
Guy has continued to record and tour in the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s.
He has won numerous awards for his music, including eight Grammy
Awards. In 2005, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
He is considered one of the most important and influential blues
guitarists of all time.
