In Back to Bridgewood, Burrise portrays Liz
Johnson, a once wealthy and adored
television sitcom star who has it all. But when
a devastating accident puts her in a coma for
three months, Liz wakes up to find herself in
a drastically different world. Fired from her
network series, blackballed from Hollywood,
and facing the foreclosure of her home, Liz
has no choice but to return to her hometown
of Bridgewood to rebuild her life.
The film’s tone has been described as Bruce
Almighty meets Abbott Elementary
offering a balance of humor and inspiration
that resonates with audiences of all ages. Liz’s
journey is filled with comedic ups and downs
as she navigates life outside of the limelight.

community in Bridgewood, Liz learns that strength,
courage, and the ability to rise above adversity are
