Far East-N.America Weekly Capacity (Aug. ‘20)
○ Weekly Capacity in the Far East – North America trade increased 6.9% YoY
• After huge scales of blank sailing in 1H, weekly capacity increase 7.3% MoM and 6.9% YoY
• As demand from Asia recently soared, Carriers announced extra loader and reinstate selected sailings initially planned to be
blanked. Equipment shortages are contributing to capacity constraints, and is pushing spot rates higher.
