ENERGY SAVINGS PROJECTION
These calculations are based on your facility’s equipment and production hours
(assuming 1 wash cycle per hour)
- Four (4) 900 lb. Ellis Washers @ approx. 2.5 Gallons per Lb.
- One (1) 450 lb. Braun Washer @ approx. 2 Gallons per Lb.
4 x 900 lbs. x 2.5 gallon/lb. + 1 x 450 lbs. x 2 gallon/lb. = 9,900 Gallons Per Hour (GPH) or 165 GPM
- Fall/Winter Operation; roughly 26 weeks at 40 Hours per Week
- Spring/Summer Operation; roughly 26 weeks at 60 Hours per Week
40 hours x 26 weeks + 60 hours x 26 weeks = 2,600 Production Hours per Year
Estimated Wastewater Consumption @ 10 - 20% Evaporation …………..................................... 150 GPM
Estimated Hot Water Make-up Flow …………………………………………….......................................... 145 GPM
Estimated Wastewater Temperature ……………………………………………….................................... 120 Deg. F
Customer Cold Process Water Temperature …………………………………………………………………...……. 38 Deg. F
Customer’s Desired Hot Water Temperature ......................................................................... 150 Deg. F
Customer’s Cost of Fuel (Natural Gas) ................................................................................... $8.24/mcf
($11.00 per 1,000 lbs. of Steam @ 75% Boiler Efficiency)
