Redaction: Open My Mouth in a Parable

           MATTHEW MARK LUKE JOHN

perceive: For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they
have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should
understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them • and their sins should be

forgiven them.• But blessed are your eyes, for they see: [A]nd your ears, for they hear. For verily I say
unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and
have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. • And he said
unto them, Know ye not this parable? [A]nd how then will ye know all parables? •

       -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
¶ Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. • Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of
God. • The sower soweth the word. • {Those / [T]hese} • by the way side are they that hear; • where the
word is sown; but when {they / anyone} • {have heard, / heareth} the word of the kingdom, and
understandeth it not, • then cometh the devil, • Satan • the wicked one, • immediately, and {taketh /

       catcheth} away • the word {that / which} was sown in {his / their} hearts • out of their hearts, lest they
should believe and be saved. • This is he which received seed by the way side. • And these are they
       likewise • that received the seed • which are sown {on / into} {stony places, / stony ground; / the rock}
       • the same • {are they, which, / is he that / who,} when they {have heard / hear, / heareth} the word, and
       {anon / immediately} • with {joy / gladness}; • receiveth {it / the word}[.] Yet • these • {hath / have} {no

root in themselves / he not root in himself,} {but dureth for a while: / and so endure but for a time:} •
[W]hich for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. [F]or • afterward, • when tribulation or
       • afflicttion or persecution ariseth {for / because} of the • word’s sake, {immediately / by and by} {he is
/ they are} offended. • And that which fell among thorns • these are {they / [h]e} also that received seed

       • which are sown among thorns; such as • that heareth the word; • which, when they have heard, go
forth, • [a]nd the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other {things /
pleasures} of this life, • entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful • and bring no fruit to
perfection. But {that / these} • on the good ground are {they / he} that received seed, • which are sown
{on / into} the good ground is {he / such} as hear the word, and receive it, • and understandeth it; •
