Redaction: Open My Mouth in a Parable
MATTHEW MARK LUKE JOHN
not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. • And he did
not many mighty works there because of their unbelief • save that he laid his hands upon a few sick
folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of there unbelief. And he went round about the
villages, teaching. •

¶ T[hen] he called his twelve disciples together, • and began to send them forth by two and
two; • and gave them power and authority over all {devils / unclean spirits;} • and to cure diseases. And
he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. • And commanded them that they
should take nothing for their journey, • [a]nd he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither
staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; • save a staff only; [b]ut be shod with sandals; • neither
have two coats apeice. • And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there
abide till ye depart from that place • and thence depart. • And whosever shall not receive you, nor hear
you, when ye {depart thence, / go out} of that city • shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony
against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of
judgment, than for that city. • And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, •
that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and
healed them • healing everywhere.
