to his wife; [a]nd they twain shall be one flesh: [S]o then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What
therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. • And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put
away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, commiteth adultery: [A]nd whoso
marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. • And in the house his disciples asked him again
of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another,
commiteth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to
another, she commiteth adultery. •

¶ His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are
some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: [A]nd there are some eunuchs, which
were made eunuchs of men: [A]nd there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the
kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. •

¶ And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, he
answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo
here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. And he said unto the disciples, The
days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: [G]o not after them, nor follow them. For as the
lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so
shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this
generation. And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did
eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into
the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did
eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; [b]ut the same day that Lot went out
of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the
day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall be upon the house top, and his stuff in
