ROI+ SERVICE BULLETIN 08-03-2017 Imaging and Cert Enhancements
ISSUE:
Medical records requests sometimes ask for Imaging Discs (such as x-rays, MRIs, or CT scans) or for a Certification or Affidavit to be completed. Depending on the workflow of the Healthcare Provider or service bureau, another department/person or an external resource may be involved in the preparation or approval of these items. It is essential that all ROI+ users be able to take a quick glance at the request status or Dashboard to (1) see whether Imaging or Certifications are part of a medical records request and (2) immediately know the status of these items when answering calls from patients or other requestors. This has been one of the most requested enhancements to ROI+, and we are excited to bring it to you to further improve your request fulfillment efficiencies and accuracy.
DETAILS:
As mentioned above, Providers and service bureaus manage these “extra” items in different ways, including who completes or approves them. Other examples of differences include whether an Imaging Disc is processed only after it is paid for or whether original Certifications/ Affidavits are still being mailed out, even though most legal systems accept uploaded copies. Due to the varied people and departments that may be involved in the process of completing Imaging and Certifications, the enhancements to ROI+ will enable you to easily identify and track (1) which requests require Imaging or Certification, (2) the current status of the Imaging or Certification, (3) and elapsed time to the completion of these critical items.
NEW SOLUTION:
To improve the ROI+ user experience, as described above, the following enhancements have been made:
1) checkboxes on the Log New Request screen to click if Imaging/Certifications are required
2) an easy-to-use feature on the Quality Control (QC) screen to add and name these items and update their status from “in process” to “finished”
3) a new designation and quick view on the ROI Requests (Results) Screen, so that you can easily see an item’s status and notes and answer status phone calls from requestors
4) an expanded Dashboard with a single-click view of all incomplete Imaging/Certifications
