In pursuance of the MNGNREG Act launched by the
government of India, Government of Andhra Pradesh has
launched A.P. Rural employment Guarantee Scheme
(APREGS) in the year 2006 and now in all the 22 districts,
this scheme is in implementation.

APREGS started with the pious objective of ensuring
employment to the rural households for a minimum of 100
days and who are willing to take up unskilled jobs, this
scheme has been deeply penetrated into the Rural areas
mainly emphasizing on the empowerment of the Rural
masses, facilitating them enjoy the accessibility to the fruits
of economic development.
