are quite cheap and easily available. Also large number of population do not have means
to avail costly treatment.
Currently these methods of treatment are excluded in health insurance policies in India.
Insurance Companies may bring some innovative products which may cover these cheap
methods of treatment. This will help them to save cost as well as to encourage policy
holders to utilise cheaper treatment methods which have no side effects.
A serious thought needs to be gives on this aspect by the regulators and the insurance
companies in this regard.
