Insurers may also place reinsurances with Lloyd's
syndicates taking care to limit placements with
individual syndicates to such shares as are
commensurate with the capacity of the syndicate.
Clause 3-12: Every insurer shall be required to
submit to the Authority statistics relating to its
reinsurance transactions in specified forms together
with its annual accounts.
Q. List out circumstances in which
Reinsurance treaty agreement is
automatically terminated.
Ans: Circumstances where treaties are automatically
terminated:
i) In case of war happening between the country
of ceding company and country of reinsurers.
ii) Sudden death clause to provide for termination
without notice in certain events like insolvency
of one of the parties etc.
