How the alphaESS system
works
alphaESS PV system stores excess electricity generated by your solar
panels that is not currently needed in your house. After charging is
completed, our alphaCommunity supported systems sell the excess
electricity to Wapda through your net-meter. Some of the stored solar
energy is then utilised during peak tari times in areas that employ
Time-Of-Day (TOD) metering. The rest of the stored electricity is available
to counter Load Shedding during night hours. As an intelligent storage
system, it optimises your own consumption according to your household
consumption patterns and the current weather data. The system also
charges the battery after mid-night on grid electricity to maximise
utilisation of o-peak taris and stores it for further load shedding. In this
way, it automatically ensures that maximum possible solar power remains
in your home, you are load shedding free and have to pay the lowest
possible electricity bills.

At sunrise, the solar panels start During daytime, solar panels are The highest daily energy

not enough to entirely cover since, most people are out of when solar panels produce little

Late Night
The usage at night is moderate and the grid is cheap. The alphaESS remains alert and keeps itself su
