alphaCommunity: Earn it

         back with NET METERING

alphaCommunity is your ticket to a new, clean and a
ordable energy
future. With an alphaCommunity supported alphaESS system you can
contribute to the community by selling your excess clean energy through
         a Wapda approved net-meter.
alphaESS is powered by Pantera Energy in Pakistan. Pantera Energy is one
of the few companies licensed by NEPRA to install Net-metering enabled
PV systems. With a net-meter you will be able to sell your extra PV
production during day-time to the grid. This way you can sell electricity
during winters and use the gained balance during summers. Also, it allows
you to sell electricity during the day and use it later at night. A
net-metering enabled system ensures that every watt of electricity
produced by solar panels is utilised.

         How it works:

A two way meter is installed between your PV system and the Wapda grid.
This meter separately measures the electricity being fed into the grid and
the electricity drawn from the grid. During excess production the surplus
energy is fed into the grid to be utilised by other people in the
neighbourhood. Wapda charges these consumers for the usage of this
electricity and adds credit to your electricity bill. At the end of the month,
you only have to pay for the di
erence of electricity used and electricity
supplied into the grid. If the electricity supplied to Wapda is more than the
electricity bought from Wapda, the excess amount is carried forward for
adjustment in the next month. Gained credit is adjustable for one year
after the electricity is fed into the grid hence enables you to reduce your
bills in summers using the electricity sold in winters.
