                        Your lips have spoken lies,            And righteousness stands afar off;
                        Your tongue has muttered perversity.   For truth is fallen in the street,
                                                               And equity cannot enter.
                     4  No one calls for justice,           15
                        Nor does any plead for truth.          So truth fails,

                        For our transgressions are with us,    So shall they fear
                        And as for our iniquities, we know     The name of the LORD from the west,
