                   Dear Mr. Kotzé,

SAPPO – World of Pork Platform: Statement on Data Security, Governance and Industry Compliance

With regards to the security and compliance measures that have been implemented and are currently in force on the
SAPPO World of Pork platform that was developed, I would like to share the following with you and your team.
The SAPPO World of Pork solution is built on Microsoft Azure and is deployed in the South African region – i.e. all solution
components and data is stored locally in South Africa. The cloud technologies, platform services, and database resources
that makes up the SAPPO World of Pork solution therefore enjoys the advantages and the trust that the Microsoft Azure
cloud provides. It was created using some of the most rigorous security and compliance standards in the world such as
ISO 27001, ISO 27018, SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC3, FedRAMP, HITRUST, MTCS, IRAP, and ENS.
Microsoft annually spends over 1 billion USD in security research and development and employs over 3500 cyber security
experts to ensure multi-layered security is provided across physical datacenters, infrastructure, and operations to protect
                 business assets and data.
Microsoft Azure currently carries over 90 compliance certifications, including over 50 specific to global regions and
countries and more than 35 compliance offerings specific to the needs of key industries, including health, government,
finance, education, manufacturing, and media. Please refer to the online documentation from Microsoft if more
