THE DYING BISMARCK’S FINAL WARNING AND
PREDICTION
Former German Chancellor Bismarck is now 83 years old and in poor health.
Kaiser Wilhelm II visits Bismarck for the last time in December of 1897. Again,
the wise old man warns the Kaiser to beware of the intrigues of courtiers around
him, and of a European disaster that may yet still come.

Bismarck warns Wilhelm not to trust court advisors: "Your Majesty, so long as
you have this present officer corps, you can do as you please. But when this is
no longer the case, it will be very different for you." (10) Subsequently,
Bismarck makes these accurate predictions:"... the crash will come twenty years
after my departure if things go on like this." ....."One day, the great European
War will come out of some damned foolish thing in the Balkans." (11) This
prophecy will be fulfilled almost to the year! Bismarck knew that a Balkan
crisis could result in a 2-front war against Britain & France in the west, Russia in
the east, plush an internal Red uprising on the home front.
